Big time pusher nabbed
By Ruby P. Silubrico

A SUSPECTED bigtime drug pusher was arrested again Friday in a raid led by joint elements of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (RAIDTAF) and the Capiz Provincial Office in Barangay Zone 1 Divinagracia, La Paz.

Arrested was Sulficio Marcelino of the said place believed to be a bigtime pusher not only in Iloilo but also in Capiz.

The raid was conducted at around 8 a.m. on the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Evelyn Salao of Branch 25 of the Regional Trial Court.

Recovered were two big sachets and seven small sachets amounting to approximately P20,000 and several drug paraphernalia items plus cash worth P2,320.

Marcelino was surprised when the raiding team including Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) and the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Unit (PDEA) entered their house.

Police reports said that the suspect has a string of drugs charges in Capiz.
For this latest arrest, he was under surveillance for a long time but proved to be too slippery.

He is now detained at the cell of Police Precinct 2 (PP2) for violation of section II, Art. II of RA 9165.
