Construction worker killed by neighbor By Ruby P. Silubrico
LEON -- A 55-year-old construction worker was allegedly stabbed dead by his neighbor Wednesday night here in Cahayon St. because of a long-kept grudge.
Police said Edwin Tanodra, 36, allegedly stabbed dead Baldomero Cabillete at around 9 pm, in a nearby store.
Cabillete suffered two stab wounds in his neck. He was brought to the Aleosan District Hospital where he later died.
According to a police investigation, the two attended a birthday with their friends nearby. The two had a misunderstanding, but they were pacified.
When Cabillete was about to go home, Tanodra stabbed him twice. Reports also said that the two nursed an old grudge against each other.
Tanodra was immediately arrested during a hot pursuit operation and is detained at the Leon police station.
He told the police that he had no intention to kill Cabillete, saying that he only stabbed the latter in a fit of anger.
He has already been charged of homicide before the Leon-San Miguel Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC).
