Cops hunt down suspects in wedding blast
By Jay Dooma Balnig

POLICE are still conducting a manhunt operation for the arrest of the two of the four suspects who are behind the Friday night grenade explosion in Bingawan, Iloilo, which killed one and injured four others.

Those who remained at-large as of press time are Rodel Lozada and Joey Castor, both of the neighboring town of Calinog.

Operatives of the Iloilo Provincial Police Office and Bingawan Police Station are conducting pursuit operations.

They are also preparing charges against the suspects.

The two were implicated by their alleged cohorts Raymund Libuna and Elpidio Lozada Jr., also residents of Calinog, who were immediately arrested after the incident.

Libuna, who admitted throwing the grenade, was arrested by police operatives in Barangay Ayuyan, Passi City while Lozada, in Barangay Bayi, Calinog.

The incident took place at the residence of Tagolisa family, which was preparing for the wedding of their kin, Jinky, to Eddie Boy Haboli the following morning.

One of relatives, Edwin Leben, died on the spot while Elmer Porras, Bryan Arboleda, Raymund Monhe and Wilfredo Ped were injured.
