DTI provincial head gets threat By Ronilo Ladrido Pamonag
DEPARTMENT of Trade and Industry Provincial Director Diosdado Cadena got "something unique" for the holidays.
Cadena received Monday a mail from an unknown sender.
Inside the envelop was a short plain bond paper with a black ribbon stapled in the middle.
His wife Jocelyn received the letter at around 9 a.m. It was delivered by the postman who regularly delivers their mail.
Apparently a threat against him, Cadena told Sun.Star Iloilo that he couldn't think of any reason why somebody would threaten him.
He said that he has not handled any sensitive or serious matter, one that would prompt somebody to threaten him.
Although he is a consumer arbitration officer, he said, his job is not that serious. "It could be a prank," he remarked.
Unfazed by the threat, Cadena said that this will not deter him from exercising his duties.
Nevertheless, he is taking extra precaution, he said.
The incident was already blottered with the Molo police station.
