Teen GRO shot by suitor
By Ruby P. Silubrico

A TEEN guest relation officer (GRO) of a night club in Iloilo City was shot by her suitor Monday night following an argument.

The 17-year-old victim, who works at Happy Cats Night Club in Muelle Loney, is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit of the St. Paul's Hospital.

Supt. Alfonso Mardoquio, chief of Police Station 1, said they will file frustrated homicide charges against suspect Jay-R Poblacion, a resident of Jereos, La Paz.

The victim's mother said in a radio interview the suspect has been convincing her daughter to stop working in the night spot but the victim refused.

At around 9:35 p.m. inside the VIP Room, they had an argument after the victim refused to leave with him.

The suspect then turned violent, went outside and fired his .9mm pistol thrice.

When the victim followed him, he shot her on the neck, head and feet.

Police recovered four shells of .9mm pistol from the scene of the crime.
