UST, UV men sweep volley elimination round

* University of Sto. Tomas edges out Iloilo Doctor's College, Colegio de la Purisima Concepsion and University of Negros Occidental
* University of Visayas routs University of the Philippines-Diliman, Central University of the Philippines, University of San Agustin and St. Louis University
THE University of Sto. Tomas (UST) men's bracket A and University of Visayas (UV) bracket B, advanced to the crossover semis after they swept their bracket elimination rounds with a 3-0 and 4-0 (win-loss) record, respectively.
UST edged out Iloilo Doctor's College (IDC), Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion (CPC) and University of Negros Occidental (UNO-R) while UV routed University of the Philippines-Diliman (UPD), Central University of the Philippines (CPU), University of San Agustin (USA) and St. Louis University (SLU).
Bracket A is composed of UST, IDC, CPC and UNO-R while B, of UV, UPD, CPU, USA and SLU.
Top two teams in each bracket will play for a crossover round. The first crossover winner will then meet the second crossover winner in the finals.
UST will face bracket B's second berth UP-D in the first crossover while IDC, bracket A second ranker will challenge the bracket B's top team, UV. The loser of the crossover, however, will battle for third place.
Women's Division
The same system will also apply for the Women's Division.
Defending champion USLS, UI, IDC and UP-D compose Bracket A while UST, UE, UNO-R, USA and SLU complete bracket B.
In Bracket A, top seeded USLS will go against host team USA today while in Bracket B, UST will test UP-D which secured a fresh victory over UI.
