CDSA II, CDSA IV top Provincial Meet
* CDSA II bags 42 gold, 31 silver, and 37 bronze medals to top the secondary level
* CDSA IV emerges the champion in the elementary level, with 46 gold, 19 silver, and 22 bronze medals
THE Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA) II and CDSA IV topped the Iloilo Schools Sports Council Integrated Meet 2005 held from January 9 to 13 in various venues in Iloilo City.
CDSA II bagged 42 gold, 31 silver, and 37 bronze medals to top the secondary level while CDSA IV emerged the champion in the elementary level, with 46 gold, 19 silver, and 22 bronze medals.
The Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) placed second both in the secondary and elementary levels - bagging 40 gold, 19 silver, and 15 bronze and 32 gold, 17 silver, and 8 bronze medals, respectively.
Placing third in the secondary level was the Iloilo City Schools Sports Council with 27 gold, 11 silver, and 16 bronze medals while in the elementary level, CDSA III, with 20 gold, 24 silver, and 23 bronze medals.
Highest pointers
In the secondary division, Rene Lardera of the CDSA V was awarded the highest pointer in the secondary division boys for winning four gold medals. Jean Palencia of the CDSA IV, who obtained three golds, was the highest pointer among the girls.
Gerald Ansino of the CDSA IV, who won four golds, earned the highest pointer award in the elementary level. Janet Bedico of the CDSA V was proclaimed highest pointer among the girls, with four golds. (Lory Ann B. Bilbao)
