Labor dep't launches connectivity project
THE Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) 6 is introducing the updated skills advertisement service, a registry service part of the Dole's employment facility system.
Under the system, jobseekers or workers have the opportunity to advertise their skills, course, and competency for ready reference of prospective employers.
The skills registry (or self-ads) will also reflect the skills profile in Region 6 communities.
The updated skills-ad service will be introduced during the jobs fair to be conducted by the Iloilo City Public Employment Service Office (Peso) in collaboration with Dole 6.
Starting today until Thursday the jobs fair will be held at the second level of Gaisano City.
Smart and icommphil.com technically support this updated skills-ad service, which is a part of the Dole Connectivity Project.
Icommphil.com, a volunteer-partner of Dole 6, will initially make their website (www.icommphil.com) available for jobseekers to enter and post their skills and personnel profile that will be on-line for employers, businesses, industry groups, and other interested establishments.
The next phase of the updated skills-ad service will invite the print media as partners to provide exclusive space for posting of skills in their newspapers and magazines.
The employers, business establishments, enterprise, and industry groups will also be encouraged to advertise with Dole 6 partners on-line and on exclusive print spaces of newspapers and magazines for skills.
In February, job opportunities and vacancies will be the next part of Dole 6 service to be added for the jobs and skills seekers in Region 6.
To register his/her skills, one should send his/her profile to Dole 6 by typing PROFILENameContact No.Competencies and send to 70036536.
Senders are advised to limit their profile to 160 characters charged P2.50 per text. This feature serves Smart subscribers only.
