Beauty and talent
WHO would guess that this girl is just 12 years old? With her statuesque figure, anybody will think that she is older.
I'm talking about Mikah Parrenas Jardenil. This lovely girl, the unica hija of Leonor and Leonard Jardenil Jr., is on her last year in Primary Education at Sta. Maria Catholic School-Ateneo de Iloilo.
Mikah and her younger brother Mark are the apples of their grandparents' eyes because they are the only grandchildren of their paternal grandparents.
Mikah is gifted with a natural Bohemian beauty that makes her suitable to represent royalties in religious processions such as the Santacruzan and Flores de Mayo. Every year, coordinators of these parades offer her a place. Just like last 2003 when she was bestowed Reyna Ester and last year, she reigned as the Reyna Elena in the Mandurriao Santacruzan.
Princess
This year, she was crowned Princess Isabel 2005 during the Dinagyang Festival. This event gave her the opportunity to meet prestigious personalities and popular celebrities, including President Macapagal-Arroyo.
She's also blessed with talents like drawing, painting and dancing. She is an active member of their school's Kadayawan Dance Club.
"Mik-mik," as she is fondly called by family and friends, loves to travel and dreams of going on a trip around the world someday. So far, she has visited Hongkong and Singapore. These were one of her happiest experiences, she said.
No softdrinks
Mikah takes good care of her health and a no-no for her is drinking softdrinks. A sip maybe but she believes, "Softdrinks are not good for your health" as he parents tell her.
With her unique beauty and talents, Mikah can surely go a long way. (Cecille Anne C. Calicdan)
