No troop movement in W. Visayas
By Jay Dooma Balnig

DESPITE its readiness and putting itself on alert status, the 3rd Infantry Division (ID) in Jamindan, Capiz remains calm.

This, according to 3rd ID Spokesman Colonel Lyndon Sollesta in an interview during the height of tension in Metro Manila last Friday and Saturday evening.

Sollesta, in an interview added that the spearhead division troop is loyal to the Arroyo administration and as of Sunday, no troop movements have been noticed.

The division was placed on alert status since Friday as the country marked its 107th Independence Day Sunday.

The preparation is in connection with a possible attack of rebels during the said celebration.
