Teen sues pa for rape By Kathy Villalon Cinco
A 33-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for nine counts of rape after his daughter reported that he raped her.
Marcelino Bacu Sr. of Iloilo City was nabbed last Monday by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Elena Opinion, with no bail recommended. Bacu said he is innocent of the charges.
"I just got involved with their problems at home," he said over Aksyon Radyo last Monday evening.
"Besides, I didn't even get a subpoena. I should talk to my wife first," he added.
Bacu said he and his wife had separated and he now lives with his parents. His wife and children are living with her sister.
Bacu and his wife have four children. The eldest daughter was the one who filed the rape case against him.
Gang rape
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old native of Pototan, Iloilo claimed that two of her boyfriends and two others raped her in Dingle last Saturday.
Nene (not her real name), said that at 7 p.m. she and the four suspects were having a drinking spree in one sari-sari store. Later on, they proceeded to a nipa hut where the gang rape took place.
On Sunday, 5 a.m., Barangay Capt. Lennie Valencia of Pandan, Dingle saw Nene collapsing in front of her house. Valencia made sure that Nene was able to go home.
It is not yet known if Nene is going to file charges against the suspects.
