Simultaneous sounding of sirens on Sept. 11
ILOILO CITY -- The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Office 6 cautions the public not to be alarmed when they hear the sound of the fire trucks' sirens in all fire stations in the region at exactly 8:46 p.m. on Sunday.
Senior Inspector Arnold Alba, BFP 6 chief public information section (PIS), said the simultaneous sounding of the fire trucks' siren will be done as a tribute to the heroes and survivors of the 9/11 terror attack on the World Trade Center in New York City, USA.
Alba said on the same date, a firefighter delegation from New York City, USA is expected in Cebu to attend activities that will mark the occasion.
