3 armed men rob Antique pawnshop By Ruby P. Silubrico
THREE unidentified and armed men robbed a pawnshop in Poblacion, Bogasong, Antique on Sunday.
According to reports, the employees of Ma. Gracia Pawnshop were about to leave around 3:30 p.m. when two men who were armed with a grenade and guns approached the appraising officer, Allan Dioso, and asked to be led inside the pawnshop.
Dioso fought back thus, he was placed inside the vault.
The robbers brought the pawnshop manager, Roger Vista.
The two, along with their third accomplice, rode in a motorcycle, went to the San Jose, Antique shoreline and rode a motorboat going to Iloilo.
The robbers carted away cash amounting to P125,000 and assorted jewelry items.
The management of the pawnshop has yet to determine the total amount of the jewelry items.
Bogasong and San Jose police personnel are still conducting a non-stop operation to identify and catch the robbers.
Probers surmised that the robbers had conducted a surveillance for a long time prior to the heist.
