Stronger at 37
By Kathy Villalon Cinco

FEDERATION Fire, Iloilo's prime firefighting force celebrated its 37th anniversary last September 30.

It was a momentous occasion because apart from the usual induction of officers and members and motorcade, the organization blessed the latest member in its modern fleet, a tanker fire truck.

Tan Teck Wan of the International Builders Corporation was the gracious soul who donated this truck.

Not only that, the renovated fire station in Mabini Street was blessed. The station contains modern facilities and amenities that are needed for effective firefighting.

New officers and members

The city's effective councilor and one of the pioneers of Federation Fire, Ramon Cua Locsin, was inducted as the president.

The other officers are Alfonso Tan, executive vice president; Roberto Chua, Reynaldo Navarro, John Woo, Tan Cheng Gee, vice presidents; John Lo Kee, secretary; Valentino Chua, assistant secretary; Francisco Sio, treasurer; Raymund Go, assistant treasurer; and Walter Uy, fire chief.

The directors are Eusebio Syching, Vicente Go Pun, Peter Chua, Oscar Chua, Rodolfo Tiu, Lee Chuan, Eddy Ong, Nelson So, Wilson Cua Locsin, Diong Sun Do, Rex Chua, Vince Alistair Tiu, James Ang, Antonio Chua, Felix Uy,Lucio Lim Son Hue, Antonio Jon, Harry Yap, Demetrio Tan, Antonio Ang, Valentin Go, Jess Sio, Alberto Ong, Edgar Sia, Ian Eric Pama and Leong Coo.

Bravest of the brave

Firefighters are the bravest of the brave. They are people who risk their lives time and again to rescue people caught in fires and to save property by putting fires out.

As Federation Fire gets older, its members and volunteers have vowed to continue protecting our properties, and us - untiringly.

Kodus to Federation Fire!
