Man shoots pal
By Ruby P. Silubrico

AN OLD grudge led a man to shoot his friend last Wednesday in Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao. Ian Bacoyani of Purok 2, Bakhaw, Mandurriao succumbed to gunshot wounds on the lower right part of his body.

The suspect was identified as Rodolfor Paterno, also from Bakhaw.

Witnesses said that the incident happened at around 11 p.m. when the two met in a wake of one of Bakhaw's residents. There, a heated argument ensued between them.

Paterno, who was armed with a gun, shot Bacoyani and fled to the inner part of the barangay. He remains at large as of press time.

Sources said that despite being friends, an old grudge lingers between them.

Meanwhile Insp. Kim Legada, chief of Police Precinct 5 (PP5), Mandurriao and concurrent chief of Task Group Bakhaw, said that he will assure the safety of Paterno should he surrender to him.
