Iloilo Executive Toastmasters Club holds 1st Invitational Speechfest
THE Iloilo Executive Toastmasters Club held the 1st Invitational Speechfest at the SM City Activity Center last March 11, 2006.
Noreen Marian C. Bautista of the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas was chosen the best impromptu speaker among the five high school students representing public and private high schools who competed.
Participants in the contest were: Iloilo National High School represented by Jayson O. Buhayan, and trainer Grace C. Mamon; Philippine Science High School Western Visayas represented by Noreen Marian C. Bautista and trainer Anecita T. Altis; Doane Christian Academy Foundation represented by Jan Vincent P. Monserate and trainer Rosalie T. Jason; De Paul College represented by Julie Pearl C. De Los Santos and trainer Sonia I. Sobremisana; and Westbridge School Inc. represented by Niccolo Andre Pijuan and trainer Manuel Mendoza.
The second best speaker was Niccolo Andre Pijuan and third best speaker was Julie Pearl C. De Los Santos. Noreen received one thousand pesos in cash, gift certificates from Mang Inasal, Plains and Prints and a trophy from Fredtayo Enterprises. Niccolo received five hundred pesos in cash, gift certificates from Mang Inasal, gift certificates from Camisa Boutique and trophy from Fredtayo Enterprises. Julie received two hundred pesos in cash, gift certificates from Mang Inasal, gift certificates from Camisa Boutique and a trophy from Fredtayo Enterprises. The non-winners received gift certificates from Mang Inasal and Paloma Photography. The contestants, trainers and Schools received certificates of participation courtesy of Touch Art.
The contestants were fed by Chowking and Pizza Hut.
