IMCI, Sun.Star Iloilo hold climbing adventure
IN decades of existence, the dictum is passionately and zealously uphold - "take nothing but pictures... kill nothing but time.. leave nothing but pictures..."
The Iloilo Mountaineering Club, Inc. in cooperation with SUN.STAR ILOILO, Powerade, Municipality of Igbaras and GMA 6 - Iloilo invites you to the "Patukad: Mt. Napulak Summer Adventure" on April 8 and 9, 2006 at the picturesque Mt. Napulak, Igbaras, Iloilo.
"Patukad", the Hiligaynon word for "uphill", means more than just a direction or manner of climbing. It involves not only the amazing challenge of pushing oneself to the limits but the pleasure and excitement of exploring our cherished natural environment. Considering the environmental situations and the apparent climate change due to pollution, this event aims to widen environmental awareness campaign and to promote mountaineering as a way of life.
"Patukad: Mt. Napulak Summer Adventure" is open to all 15 years old and above, who love to commune with nature and who are fascinated with the sights and sounds of our treasured natural environment.
This adventure involves fun and pleasure trekking, interesting informative interaction with other participants and enlightening overnight camp at the designated high altitude campsite at the heart of picturesque and stunning Mt. Napulak.
