Foreman kills laborer By Ruby P. Silubrico
A FOREMAN shot to death his 22-year-old laborer Tuesday night while having a drinking session inside their office at Barangay Buhang, Jaro.
Samuel Drilon of Talusan, Dumangas, Iloilo and employee of Passad Metal Works died at West Visayas State University Medical Center because of wounds on his chest, right upper back of the body, left neck, left head and left face.
Khasmir Disomagcop, chief of Police Precinct 3 (PP3) in Jaro, said the incident happened at around 8:20 p.m. while the victim and the suspect, Edgar Hupeda, 26 of Tuburan, Zarraga and employee of said establishment were drinking with their co-workers. Later, a heated argument ensued between them.
The victim reportedly slammed a rubber mallet on the head of the suspect thus, the latter got irked and shot the victim several times.
Disomangcop said that Hupeda's brother Edmond, reportedly got a .38 revolver used by the suspect in shooting the victim and fled after the incident.
The suspect was immediately arrested and now detained at the cell of PP3.
