A GROUP of prominent people in the province will launch Thursday a signature campaign against the so-called "Malacanang-funded-DILG-initiated" People's Initiative.
The group will launch their campaign at the office of Provincial Board Member Cecilia Capadosa at the Provincial Capitol.
This group of Ilonggos who call themselves the Ilonggos Movement Against Arroyo's Charter Change (I-March) will hold a press conference during the launching.
The same group has also collaborated with the Ilonggo Political and Religious Leaders in the city and in the province.
Among the convenors were Bishop Gaspar Bañes-IFI, Former Vice Governor Ramon Duremdes, lawyers Pablo Nava III, Joshua Alim, Dan Cartagena, Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan)-Panay, Msgr. Meliton Oso-Jasac, lawyer Jojo Lutero-MGG,SB Wilson Balingit-Estancia, (Ret)Lt. Col. William Agaza-PA, Bayan Muna and Board Member Capadosa.
Denial
Capadosa, on the other hand, said she has no idea as to what the campaign is all about but has just been asked if she could allow her office to be used for such.
Despite her inclusion in the list, she denied that she has a part in the campaign. She said that all she will be discussing today is a lecture on gender development among participants from rural areas in the province.
