Small town lottery supporters dominate 2nd day of hearing
COUNCILOR Armand Parcon, chairman of the Committee on Games and Amusement of the City Council, said the second hearing day remained dominated by pro-Small Town Lottery (STL) men and women.
The second public hearing of the STL operation, held Tuesday in the Iloilo Terminal Market Building, was attended by the city's transport groups that wanted to put into paper their support to the STL operation.
Parcon revealed that STL now is a two numbers game unlike before, which was a three numbers game that will be chosen from among the 40 numbers.
There will be bet collectors that will get the bet numbers and remit the same to the game center where the numbers will be drawn.
Parcon said the same game center will be located 300 meters from the church and the school.
It was still being deliberated by the applicant ICSTLGC, said Parcon.
He said the bets can amount only up to P1, which would win P800 and five cents would win P80, thus, a bigger price from the small amount.
He added that the operator will choose an honest bet collector. (LABB)
