Pa jailed for raping 3 daughters
By Ruby P. Silubrico

"I'M sorry."

So said a 41-year-old farmer after he raped his three daughters in Barangay Mantolang, Passi City.

Passi City Police Office chief Mario Abraham Lenaming arrested Lowie Flores last Wednesday in his farm at Gines Viejo, Passi City at around 1:30 p.m. following the complaint of his daughters.

The complaint was first made by 17-year-old Marla (not her real name). She said her father raped her inside their house ever since she was only nine years old when their mother is not around or when everybody is sleeping at night.

She said she did not tell her mother about this for fear that her father will kill all of them.

Marla said she later found out that her sister Carla, 11 was also sexually molested by their father and was threatened not to tell their mother or anyone.

Carla told the police that the last time her father molested her was last Tuesday at around 9:30 p.m. inside their house.

The following morning, Carla and Marla confessed to their mother. Then, they reported this to the police.

When their father was already in jail, their 9-year-old sister revealed that the former also raped her.

Passi City police Marius Amar said the suspect admitted that he sexually molested his daughters but could not remember how many times he did this.

Amar said that in 2001, Marla made the same complaint, but it was amicably settled after her father said sorry and promised not to do it again.

Marla said that after the settlement, her father repeatedly raped her and her younger sisters.

Lenaming said rape charges would be filed against Flores within this week.
