2 injured in Sta. Barbara vehicular accident
A SEVENTY-one-year-old woman is in critical condition and her nephew is injured after their car accidentally hit a truck along the highway of Barangay Dama, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo Wednesday.
Celerina Borra of Barangay Bacan, Cabatuan is confined at the Iloilo Doctors' Hospital after she suffered injuries on her head while her nephew who drove their car, Bryan Borra, 24, sustained a slight injury.
The incident happened at around 3:50 p.m. when they were going towards Cabatuan.
Upon reaching Barangay Dama, the car hit the side of a truck that was at the opposite side, and driven by Henry Fernandez of New Lucena. Fernandez was with his helper Bongbong.
Fernadez said that was supposed to go to Pavia when he saw the car suddenly went to his lane.
"Right after the incident, I approached the driver and he told me that he fell asleep that's why he was not able to control his car," Fernandez said. (RPS)
