Globe introduces mobile solutions
By Ramel dela Cruz

GLOBE Solutions (GS), the corporate business group of Globe Telecom, introduced its mobile solutions to Iloilo businesses last July 21, 2006 at the Sarabia Hotel.

There, it was explained how GS will suit the growing telecommunication needs of companies in the city.

"GS goes beyond providing lines, voice and SMS services to corporate customers as it creates mobile solutions to meet their wireless communication needs to give them the upper hand by maximizing their productivity, efficiency, and business profitability, thus becoming a partner in growing their business," Globe stated in its press release.

Offer

Among the services GS offers is the Globe Energy Management Solutions (Gems), which cost about P90, 000. Gems is a solution that would enable enterprises to keep track of their energy consumption remotely, via GPRS, and SMS to help them initiate cost saving measures. Through this technology, enterprises can monitor and understand their electric consumption patterns, which would help them to identify circumstances and control their energy use which can give them back financial benefits once they know how to properly budget their power usage.

The second service that the Globe and Innove introduced is the so-called "Visibility." The said service is enhanced with the power of 3G, which allows the users to experience unlimited data access anytime and anywhere at fast speed. The connection also is available in GPRS, Edge, Wi Fi, and Dial-up. Visibility is a data Internet access anytime. Visibility provides unparalleled connectivity for corporate customers. GS Visibility puts together all connectivity options in one service so that corporate customers always stay connected, wherever they are and whatever device they have.

Unfortunately, during the open forum, it was said that 3G will only be available in Iloilo City in a couple of months.
