By Ramel dela Cruz

THE “Migs Barkada” celebrated their second anniversary with a variety show at Robinsons Place Iloilo last July 30, 2006.

It was composed of talent competitions and the launching of the new members of the JPC Production of Jun Patrimonio Cortel.

It also included a demonstration of workshops and lessons offered in Dreamland Personality Development Center located in the 2nd floor of the said mall.

The event started with a dance number cum fashion show. Then it proceeded to the introduction and performance of Migs’ newest member, Kurt Del Rosario, who’s very good in playing the guitar and gifted with a good voice. With him, the three contestants of the Kiddie Corner (KC) sang.

It was followed by the presentation of the four finalists, Janica Malacapo, Krisna Saludades, Heicy Mae Dalanon, and Merrylu Defacto for "Campus Bet," a talent search for High School Students.

Next was the grand launching of a dance group "Different Shadow.”

In the contest part, the winner for the "King of the Dance Floor," a solo dance contest for males, was Jay Gatilogo.

For the KC, the winner was Glidel Mae Jasol.

The finalists for the Acoustic Showdown are Cockatoo, Flash Flood, Topic 101, and Maldita. They will compete in the grand finals.

All the competitions were judged by Maria Ella Joane Dapiton, Joane Ko, Delia Tan Patrimonio and John Gerald Pilar.

A demonstration of belly dancing, dance sports, and aerobics were also shown.

Aimee Andaya and Allan Zaldivar hosted the variety show.
