Prosports holds Bike for a Cause

AS PART of its annual contribution to health and fitness in Iloilo City, the Professional Sports Organizer Team, Inc. (Prosports) will convene bicycle racers and enthusiasts with this year's Anti Dengue-Bike for A Cause.

The bicycle tour will take off at 7 a.m. on August 26 from Gaisano City car park to Lapaz Plaza - Mandurriao, Arevalo and Molo Plaza.

`Trisikads' will also take off with a motorcade from Freedom Grandstand to Gaisano City where a` Sikad' race begins at 8 a.m.

There will be a BMX Flat Land Street Stunt Park and Skateboard competition at two in the afternoon at the car park. And on the 27th, a BMX Cross racing will be held at 8 a.m. at Brgy. San Rafael, Mandurriao.

These are exciting events, which, according to Federico Senen Rentoy, Prosports president, could generate funds for the much needed medicines for dengue victims. The benefit funds will be coursed through Philippine National Red Cross - Iloilo.

Among the Anti -Dengue Bike for a Cause major benefactors are Iloilo City Government, Gaisano City, PCSO, Mang Inasal, Winners Gym and Promotions, Faforma, ABS CBN, RMN, News Express, News Today, 95.1 iFM, Emperador Brandy, Siklista Magazine, Copya Ilongga, Kapideco, 2b Bike Store and M.O.R.

The events are also sponsored by servewell Drinking Water, Helping Foundation, Cong. Raul Gonzales, Jr., Mayor Jerry P Treñas, Hon. Joe Espinosa III and Jalandoni Memorial National High School.
