Revenue agency confers award to Ted's La Paz Batchoy owner
ON THE occasion of its 102nd anniversary, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) recognized business establishments and taxpayers who pay their taxes promptly.
One of them is Adelfa Borro, owner of Ted's La Paz Batchoy. The award of "First Top Individual VAT (Value Added Tax) Taxpayer" was conferred to her.
The ceremony was held at the BIR District Office in Molo last August 11.
The certificate that Borro received states, "In recognition for her grateful recognition with the various programs of the BIR. Her willful declaration and payment of taxes to the government with faithful observance of laws for Revenue District Office No. 74 Iloilo City, Revenue Region for the year 2005."
Ted's La Paz Batchoy, the maker of the old-time favorite "batchoy" has 23 branches nationwide.
They started operations in 1945. (RCS)
