Police reports showed that Denosta is facing charges before the Roxas City Prosecutors Office for violation of illegal possession of unlicensed firearm.

Without the knowledge of the police on duty, Denosta destroyed the padlock of the detention cell and forcibly opened the locker of SPO1 Araiz where an M16 armalite rifle was placed.

On the other hand, the Police Regional Office-Western Visayas through Regional Director Geary Barias would be conducting an investigation on who were the personnel on duty when Denosta escaped. They will be facing administrative sanction for negligence.

Grenade

On the other hand, the Tapaz police are conducting an investigation on who were responsible for throwing a grenade in front of the house of Gelly Farinas on Sunday at Poblacion Ilawod, Tapaz.

The incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. when two unidentified persons onboard a motorcycle hurled a grenade. This exploded but nobody was hurt. The front gate of the house was damaged.

Recovered in the crime scene were a grenade safety pin and shrapnel.
