THE Westbridge Under-8 and Under-12 Teams won back-to-back championships in the 2nd Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Monthly Football Festival held last August 26, 2006 at the La Paz Plaza football field.

Josh Lee's hat-trick propelled the Westbridge U-12 Team A to a back-to-back championship win against Barangay Magsaysay with a 3-1 victory.

Lee made his first goal in the 1st minute with a power kick from half-court that sailed pass through the goal keepers outstretched arms.

The second goal came in the 8th minute from a header by Lee after a free kick made by team captain Mitch Tingson.

Andrei Palmares of Barangay Magsaysay gave his team a morale booster through a sliding shot past goal keeper Irvin Terazona in the 11th minute to make the score 2-1.

But Lee answered it at the 14th minute with a goal from the right wing to complete the hat-trick and finally took the starch out of Barangay Magsaysay.

Lee was adjudged tournament Most Valuable Player.

The U-8 Team A of Westbridge was declared winner of this month's football festival with 13 points after beating 4-teams (2-0 vs ICCHS, 3-0 vs Barangay Magsaysay, 1-0 vs Westbridge Team B and 2-0 vs Barangay La Paz) and drawing 0-0 with Barangay Railway.

With 3 wins and 2 draws earning 11 points, Barangay Railway got the silver medal while the Barangay La Paz U-8 Team won the bronze medal.

This month's football festival was participated by the following football teams: Central Philippine University, Elementary Department, Barangay La Paz, Barangay Magsaysay, Barangay Railway, Iloilo Chinese Commercial and Westbridge School.
