Girls just want to have fun! By Ramel dela Cruz
FIVE competing all-female groups delivered superb performances during the grand finals of the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" last Aug. 12, 2006 at Robinsons Place Iloilo.
The contestants were culled from the monthly eliminations held at the same mall earlier.
The first contestant was "Sexy Zero," composed of seven members who did some belly grinding while donning the coolest outfits.
The second contestant was "Solid Groove", composed of five members who wore camouflage and ended up winning the third place.
The third contestant was "Assassin Fantasy", composed of six members. Their presentation, which was Vietnamese-inspired, won them the first place.
The fourth contestant was "MKJ's", composed of six members. The fifth contestant was "Swapt TV," composed of eight members whose performance garnered them the second place. From the applause, the group seems to be the crowd's favorite.
The judges were Zedrick Seneres, Kevin Piamonte and Faith Jordan Javellana.
The first prize winner received P5,000; second prize, P3,000; and third prize, P2,000. A consolation prize of P1,000 was given to the rest./RDLC
