Integrated Lions Club celebrates 27th anniversary By Ramon C. Salvilla
THE Iloilo Integrated Lions Club will hold its 27th anniversary and 28th induction of officers tonight, September 9 at the Grand Ballroom of the Amigo Terrace Hotel.
Faustino Yuson III, club president, will lead the club in welcoming 200 guests and dignitaries including the Ichon Jong Ang Lions Club of Korea, which is headed by Lee Hang Jae. Ichon is the sister club of the IILC.
This is the second term of Yuson as club president. He is presently working as a medical representative. He joined the club in 2000.
District 301-B Governor Pablo V. Nava, PMJF, will be the guest speaker and the inducting officer.
Nava is a Melvin Jones Fellow since 1989 and life member for 2004 to 2005. This native of Bacolod City is married to Ma. Isabel E. Nava and they were blessed with four children.
Nava finished his Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Business Management and Accounting and earned his Masters in Business Administration at the University of San Agustin, Iloilo City.
Nava joined the Bacolod Airport Lions Club in 1981. Ten years later, he became Vice District Governor for 2005 to 2006.
His distinctions include: Club Presidents Excellence Award for LY 1985-1986; 100% Club Presidents Excellence Award for LY 1986-1987; Most Outstanding Zone Chairman LY 1987-1988; Most Outstanding Deputy Governor (Region Chairman) LY 1988-1989; 3 N 1 Lions International Award for complying three requirements by Lions Clubs International; Governors Award and Service Award for Lion Year 1985 up to 2004; 24 100% Perfect Club Attendance Award; and Most Outstanding District Chairman LY 2003-2004.
Past president Luis Salazar was tasked to introduce the guest speaker.
The evening’s highlight is the Palabas.
