Flores's donation puzzles Igbarasnons

MANY Igbarasnons were puzzled with the P25,000 donation made by Mayor Gerardo Flores of Miag-ao for the victims of the Igbaras tragedy.
Mayor Jaime Esmeralda confirmed they received the amount from Flores on Wednesday.
As of October 3, only Flores and Mayor Ireneo Grabato of Mina sent donations to the victims' families.
Grabato sent 10 sacks of rice and said his laborers came from Igbaras town.
Many Igbarasnons suspected that Flores is planning to run as congressman in the area.
However, Flores denied this, saying that he has no plans of leaving the people of Miag-ao. He said he could still run for another term.
He added that there is a possibility that his wife, former Miag-ao mayor Julieta Flores, will run for congress.
