JARO police chief Insp. Jack Wanky confirmed Thursday that those who robbed a lotto outlet in Alta Tierra, Jaro and carted away P100,000 are local boys.

Wanky said they are now zeroing in on the whereabouts of the robbers with the help of some intelligence units in Camp Delgado and the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).

He said these local boys have pending cases in court and they are suspects in other robbery incidents in Iloilo.

Wanky is also coordinating with the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) for further information gathering.

"We have pieces of circumstantial evidence in our hands against them but we need more efforts to pin them down," Wanky said.

The robbers carted away P100, 000 including jewelry items when they entered the house and lotto outlet of Luz Suares at around 8:30 p.m. last Sunday.

The robbers were armed with guns and knives.
