Regional Director Rose Cabrera said the barangays prone to landslides are Anini-y, Barangays Igtomarum, Tagaytay, Fatima, San Ramon, and Nato.

In Barbasa, the villages are Tigas River, West Foothill of Nangtud, and Mayabay.

Other Antique towns are Hamtic and Balderma.

In Iloilo, the towns of San Joaquin, Alimodian, Miag-ao, and Cabatuan are landslide prone, specifically Cabatuan's barangays Salakay and Gines-Patag.

Two years ago, the national road and hilly portion of Gines-Patag accidentally collapsed.

Last week, a landslide happened in the town of Miag-ao but there were no casualties.

Some areas in Cauayan, Negros Occidental as well as the coast are prone to landslides, too.

Cabrera said continuous monitoring of various places in the region is being done.

Cabrera appealed to the families who are living in the landslide-prone areas to be wary during typhoons and that they should immediately leave to avoid danger.
