Thursday, October 12, 2006 Bracing with fashion By Harold A. Castro
AS WE seemingly trudge in the competitive world where fashion is a deal, one may tend to overlook expensive garments to get into it.
Last September 29, two among the hundreds who took part in the Campus Fashionista ‘06 search were adjudged as those who will rock the fashion arena.
James Garcia won the Male Model category while Shin Salaya is the Female Model. The runners-up were Bricz Navarro for the male and Charlene Casten for the female.
Special awards like the Photogenic were awarded to JM Firmalino for the male and Soriel Sorel for the female.
Renz Querubin and Kristine Tee got the Make-over award.
These young and competent fashion icons from different colleges and universities here proved that they are not just campus fashionistas but they can become trendsetters.
Media personalities, fashion icons and top designers gathered at one place to distinguish and choose their own bets among the campus fashionistas. Held at Robinsons Place Iloilo, is second of its kind since it started last year.
The judges were Marivic Madrigal-Vasquez, Atty. Joemarie Treñas, Loven Ramos, Campus Fashionista 2005 Winner Grendel Alvarado and City Mayor Jerry P. Treñas.
