Diamond PAL Interclub slated in Cagayan in 2007

THE Philippine Airlines Interclub, the country's largest golf event, converges in Cagayan de Oro for its 60th championships from February 16 to 24, 2007. The "Diamond Edition" of the tournament, widely acknowledged as the national clubs championship of the Philippines, has attracted a field of nearly 150 teams, including more than 60 squads from overseas.

Joining hands to formally launch the 60th PAL Interclub during the First Team Captains' Meeting recently are Clifford Celdran, general manager of Pueblo de Oro Golf & Country Club; Miguel Comique, golf chairman of Del Monte Golf Club; Domingo Duerme, Interclub chairman; Jess Garcia, Interclub vice-chairman; Bob Salazar, Interclub co-chairman; and Ruben Pecson, senior vice president of Air Philippines, a major sponsor of the tournament.
