BUSINESSWOMAN Susan Caperonce Florete has proven that Ilonggas are an epitome of glamour after she was named as one of the best-dressed women of 2006 by Lifestyle Asia.
Her picture and many others grace the cover of the magazine's October 2006 issue. "Ilonggo women like to look beautiful," Florete was quoted as saying in the magazine.
She is the daughter of jewelers Bernardo and Cristine Orian Caperonce and she operates her own chain of jewelry stores named F & C since 1973.
In the magazine, she stated that Ilonggas are very practical and prefer not spend lavishly.
She added that when Ilonggas have money, they buy jewelry because its value lasts a lifetime and can be passed on to their children.
The magazine also revealed that Florete is enamored with the exquisite things in life. "I've loved beautiful things since I was a child, be it clothes or jewelry. I used to watch my mother make jewelry. I would buy magazines and look at jewelry. That's it, that's my love," she adds in the Lifestyle Asia magazine article.
She revealed that she loves clothing from Marina Rinaldi and Escada.
She scours Italy, Spain, United States, and Hong Kong yearly for stones and jewelry for her stores. She visits her Manila stores once a month, and when she does, she looks forward to shopping, stated Lifestyle Asia.
She is the mother of Marissa, Marge, Mars III and Maricris and she is married to businessman Marcelino Florete Jr.
