Thursday, October 19, 2006 Students told to cooperate with mentors By Lory Ann B. Bilbao
COMMITTEE on Education, Science and Technology Chairman Erlinda Liberiaga advised students to cooperate with their teachers and dedicate their selves to their studies than to other extra-curricular activities.
Liberiaga, also a teacher and a member of the City School Board, said that the City was also concerned because it flanked in the national ranking in the National Achievement Test.
She further advised that the City Schools-Elementary and High School should limit the extra-curricular activities being conducted even during school days.
Nationally, the result of this year's National Achievement Test in elementary and high school education was found way below the 75 percent passing rate.
The same was also the end product of insufficient and deficient schools facilities.
