Iloilo Central Commercial School headed by their coach, Jesus Millesa, believes that their participation would greatly contribute to the development of their athletes.
He is looking forward in establishing good camaraderie of his players and with his fellow coaches. Also, he believes that this activity will help bring about the maturity of his players in football.
He posed a challenge to Westbridge School for Boys who remains undefeated for three months in the two categories (Under 8 and Under 12) since the tournament took its course in July 2006.
The tournament was successfully carried out for three months of existence. It started last July with only seven participating teams namely Westbridge School for Boys, Mandurriao Elementary School, La Paz Elementary School, Jalandoni Elementary School, Barangay Railway, Barangay Magsaysay, and La Paz Football Club. Westbridge School for Boys was consistently victorious for three consecutive months.
The said sports activity gave the young an opportunity to surmount obstacles and dare to explore the heights of one's mental and physical powers. It develops one's strength of spirit, endurance and unity.
The sports program of Mayor Jerry P. Treñas also produces worthy athletes who will be competent to join higher level of competition on this sport.
