Police list 5 names for Coronel's replacement

THE Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) has released the names of five police officials from where the replacement of Iloilo Police Provincial Office Director Senior Superintendent Joel Napoleon Coronel, will be culled.
They are Senior Superintendent Vicente Aloro, chief of PR6 Logistics; Senior Superintendent Melvin Mongcal from Negros Occidental; Senior Superintendent Gil Lebin, former chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG6); Senior Superintendent Co Yee Co, chief of the Police Community Relations Office; and Senior Superintendent Lazaro Torcita of the Human Resource and Personnel Development Division.
It was learned that after 10 months in Iloilo, Coronel requested the higher command and Governor Niel Tupas Sr. to relieve him from his post.
Tupas does not want Coronel to leave the province because he believes that the latter has an excellent performance.
The names of the nominees were sent to Camp Crame. It would depend on the Philippine National Police Chief on whether or not to pull out Coronel.
Coronel replaced retired Senior Superintendent Efren Quintos.
