Man nabbed for trying to molest boy, 14
By Ruby P. Silubrico

A 37-year-old man was arrested after he attempted to molest a 14-year-old boy on Saturday night inside the public cemetery of Molo district.

Donel Rivera of San Nicholas, Oton violated Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act for attempting to molest Nestor (not a real name), a high school student of Molo City High School.

Prior to the incident, Rivera was seen roaming around Molo plaza until he met Nestor who was sitting on a bench.

It was reported that he convinced Nestor to go with him to the cemetery, which is a few meters away from the plaza.

Nestor agreed and followed him.

Nestor said Rivera touched his sex organ and asked him to perform oral sex. When Nestor was about to do this, the Iloilo City Police Station 4 (ICPS1) personnel, who were alerted by bystanders, arrived.

Nestor said Rivera threatened him if he refuses to do what he asked. Rivera admitted that he touched Nestor's private parts.

"Nothing happened. I only touched some private parts of his body," Rivera said over a radio interview.
