Mikah is the daughter of Leonardo Jardenil Jr. and Leonor Jardenil. Her escort is John Paul Chua who was the King Humabon 2007, 14 years old and a 2nd year high school of the same school. John Paul is the son of George Chua and Moonyeen Mondijar Chua. The 2007 Damas are Raisa Lyn Belandres Gumayan, daughter of Ronald Gumayan and Lina Belandres Gumayan, Nadene Pearl F. de la Cruz, daughter of Tedy de la Cruz and Fe Corazon F. de la Cruz, Roeyna Famisaran, and Vincent Marie Esguerra Palabrica, daughter of Louie Marie Gerald Palabrica and Luzviminda Palabrica, all from Ateneo de Iloilo.

Magin Benedict Fernandez Ferrer or Mags as he is endearingly called by his family members, is the 2007 Niño Hesus.

"Mags" is the second child of Dr. Malberr G. Ferrer a practicing pulmonologist and critical care specialist and Gina Fernandez, a former New York nurse. He is nine years old and a grade 3 student of Saint Joseph School. He loves to read books and he wishes to become a veterinarian someday for he loves dogs.

Queen Juana and Niño Hesus will be present during the Dinagyang Festival because it is a way of remembering the history of Queen Juana and Senior Sto. Niño.

They both said that the Ati-atihan of Kalibo, Dinagyang of Iloilo and Sinulog of Cebu now lack spiritual significance because the street dancing and merry making have become commercialized and the true spirit of devotion is lost. There is a need to situate the devotion to its proper place, namely the devotion of childhood of Jesus Christ.

"On April 14 1521, history tells us that a mass was held and during which the Queen Hara Humamamai together with 800 natives received the sacrament of Baptism officiated by the Chaplain of Captain Ferdinand Magellan's expedition- Fr. Pedro Valderrama. She was given the Christian name "Juana" of spain the grandmother of King Philip II.

This year's theme is "We remember, we celebrate, we believe.

Meanwhile, the pilgrim image of Señor. Santo Niño from Cebu arrived on Wednesday. /RNJG
