Tupas's opponent is a balikbayan

AS EXPECTED, Governor Niel Tupas Sr. has an opponent during the May elections in the gubernatorial race.

A 50-year-old resident of Oton, Serapio Campusano filed his certificate of candidacy with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) provincial office Wednesday.

Arroyo Watch: Sun.Star blog on President Arroyo


Serapio filed as an independent candidate. Aksyon Radyo reported that he would start his campaign this March when he arrives from the US.

Campusano said he did this because of the yearning to free society from officials involved in graft and corruption.
