Helen Roa of the PPCRV Secretariat of the Archdiocese of Jaro said that the PPCRV is on its toes now in conducting Voters Education, especially in schools before classes end.
Along with these is the series of Voters' Education sessions in the parishes, which are ready and have active PPCRV Teams, and which can facilitate productive discussions.
The local church here, through the office of Archbishop Angel Lagdameo and the Commission on Social Communications, has been calling on the faithful to exercise discernment and educated conscience in determining qualified candidates.
Moreover, the PPCRV has issued the 10 commandments on responsible voting to guide the faithful, which among others call for a closer look at the platforms of government of the candidates.
Meanwhile, the government has expressed its continued focus on making sure the May elections will be clean and peaceful, and also calls on the candidates to anchor their campaign on issues and a platform of growth.
