The half-naked body of Josephine Braza Mambaret was found under the state of decomposition Sunday at around 11 in the morning in a nipa hut situated at a center of vast ricefields, 100 meters from Zone 3 of the same barangay.
The hut is 300 meters away from Josephines' house.
Josephine who was also known as "Inday" in the same barangay, succumbed to loss of blood or hemorrhage due to acquired wounds in her sex organ suspectedly inserted with a knife or a hard object.
One of Inday's three children and her eldest, 11-year-old boy, told Sun.Star he last saw her mother boozing with two men from the same barangay, past dinner last Saturday, the same night she was suspectedly murdered.
Barotac Nuevo Police Chief Ramon Koreana, said the kid was the only credible witness as of press time.
At 2 pm, the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) came and acquired finger prints of Inday as well as gather possible evidences like a pair of slippers, suspected to be owned by Inday, a broken branch of a tree, suspected to have been part of the object which was inserted to Inday's vagina, an empty bottle of whiskey and a glass, a shorts, possibly worn by Inday, and a mark of the suspect's blooded fingers marked in the bamboo hut.
Around 2:30 pm, her body was found 12 hours dead which meant that Inday has struggled before she died at round three in the morning.
Police suspected that the crime might be made past 9 in Saturday evening.
Few hours after the body of Inday was found by a farmer, police went directly to the houses of Jojo Depita and Marlon Medina as well as that of Gilbert Ladublan.
