SUPERINTENDENT Renato Gumban, Regional Officer of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Western Visayas confirmed Monday that his unit is now preparing a case for obstruction of justice against Police Officer 2 Vicente Baylon Jr.
The case stemmed from the alleged intervention of Baylon that resulted to the escape of July Flores last week in Barangay Bakhawan, Concepcion, Iloilo.
Flores is one of the accused in Salabas kidnapping and double murder case in Mabinay, Negros Oriental.
Gumban added that they are just waiting for additional affidavit of several witnesses before the final filing of Baylon administrative case in Regional Internal Affairs Service and Iloilo Provincial Prosecutors Office for the criminal aspect.
