‘What are you wearing?’
By Vincent Alocada

Girl #1: "It's nice. I like the color and I heard my boobs would look bigger in this style."

Girl#2: "This yellow set is also good. Actually, I'm using the black set of this style.

Would you like this?"

Those were two of my female co-tutors who made use of our 10-minute break to scan the pages of a catalogue of a beauty line and cosmetics while we were puffing our cigarettes.

Decision on Estrada's Plunder case

Girl#3: "Grabe! You're willing to spend big amounts on those bras and panties? My panties are just 3 for 100, and my bras, 150 at the most."

The eyes of Girl# 1 and Girl#2 became wide open and their faces displayed a quizzed look upon hearing what Girl#3 said. Girl#2, who is a dealer for the cosmetic and beauty company, laughed heartily and mockingly said:

"Aren't you embarrassed if you take off your clothes in front of your boyfriend just before sex?"

Condescending as she is, Girl#3 replied:

"Sweetie, it's not the underwear that matters: it's what beneath them that make men drool. With my size 34 cup C, as compared to your ....maybe...uhmmm size 31? I don't need expensive bras and panties to place men under the optical illusion that I'm well-endowed."

Ouch, I thought as I tried to contain my laughter. A confrontation, a catfight. Anything could have been viable for the 2 ladies at that time.

However, nothing violent happened.

All Girl#2 could say to retaliate was:

"Don't rub it on my face."

How disappointing.

I always look forward to our 10 minute break every hour. It's a breather from facing Koreans after 50 minutes of doing the business of teaching English grammar and vocabulary. Most of all, it's an opportunity for smokers to bond and satiate their need for nicotine. And the icing on the cake for me is, I get ideas as to what to write about in this column.

Men, do you really care about the underwear of your women?

"The style matters. Right curves---the sexier, the better. Brand isn't a factor."
---Jo Earl Panggat

"Brand doesn't matter as long as she looks sexy."
---Jovan Atienza

"Style matters. The girl has to look good in it. Of course, the color has to be black."
---Fred Christopher Espino

"The brand doesn't matter as long as the style looks good on the one wearing it. Style can stimulate, especially if it fits the wearer."
---Ryan Sihiyon

"Brands, no. Style, yes. But it's how the girl wears it. Any style of underwear is okay as long as she looks hot in it. A big no on those old saggy undies. It's a big turn off. Colors of the undies matter a lot too. The funny thing is, the hotter the girl looks in her undies, the more you want to rip them off and you know...Hehehe"
---Scott Sarria
