A PREGNANT woman’s husband shot to death the man who attempted to rape her wife.
Rene Camarista was found lifeless inside his nipa hut at Barangay Janipaa East, Mina, Iloilo Friday. His body reportedly succumbed to several gunshot wounds.
Senior Inspector Reno Lauron of Mina Police Station said the pregnant woman’s spouse, Peter Suficiencia, admitted the crime and surrendered to him after the incident.
Peter is now detained at the town’s detention cell.
Police reports showed that the Suficiencia couple was already sleeping inside their house by 8:30 p.m. when Camarista silently got inside and entered the couple's room.
He hurriedly crawled over Peter’s wife, Rosalie, who was fast asleep beside her husband, and tried to abuse the latter.
Camarista tried to cover Rosalie's mouth but Peter was awakened and saw how he tried to harass his pregnant wife.
Peter reportedly got his gun and while Camarista swiftly tried to fled, he shot him several times.
Police were still looking at how Camarista stormed in the couple’s house while Suficiencia said he is willing to face the charges.
