Governor Victor Tanco Sr. and City Mayor Vicente Bermejo have activated the committees that are in charge of various activities to make this year's celebration a success.

Based on the initial schedule of activities, the festival will be a mix of cultural festivities, religious ceremonies, and showcase of an assortment of major local products and development projects designed to give the festival more spirit, color, and excitement.

The province's participation in the ongoing Western Visayas Regional Tourism Assembly, Nov. 12-18, in Bacolod is an apt glimpse of what's in store especially for visitors during the celebration.

Sinadya sa Halaran depicts the Capiceños' rich cultural heritage and way of life anchored on their time-honored values of sharing and thanksgiving. The theme of this year's celebration is "Sulong kita sa Progreso, kay labi sa tanan ang tawo ang maka benepisyo." (PIA)
