PB member says meeting with guv was ‘pure lunch’

ILOILO Provincial Board (PB) Member Arthur Defensor Jr. said he and his colleagues had lunch and nothing more with the governor.
“The meeting was purely a lunch meeting with no other agenda related to Capitol affairs,” said Defesor.

Defensor added there were no talks about the P350 million convention center of Iloilo Governor Niel D. Tupas Sr. in the two-hour lunch.
Vice Governor Rolex Suplico, known as the governor’s antagonist, attended the affair.
The occasion also marked another first: Suplico’s entering his uncle’s office since his first day as vice governor of the province.
Suplico justified that it was PB Member Richard Garin who invited him and he only did his basic job as head of the board.
Defensor revealed that they were planning to also sponsor a lunch meeting with the governor at a different venue in the Capitol.
