A MEMBER of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) was shot dead Sunday night by an unidentified person inside a KTV bar at Poblacion Ilawod, Calinog, Iloilo.
Private First Class (PFC) Joel Nepumuceno, a native of Numancia, Aklan and assigned at the 47th Infantry Battalion, died from a fatal gunshot wound on his right face.
Police reports say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. while Nepumuceno was having a drinking session with some friends inside SMB Family KTV Bar owned by Hazel Carmen.
Reports further said the victim was requesting for a song when one of the two persons sitting near him suddenly stood up and shoot him.
The suspect and his companion have escaped from the crime scene on board a motorcycle.
Witnesses said there was no argument between the suspects and the victim. The victim also did not provoke the suspects.
The Calinog Police Station is still investigating on the motive behind the killing. They are also looking for the suspects.
Recovered from the crime scene were two empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol. (RPS)
